My story

I’ve always had a passion for helping others, especially when it comes to learning. With a B.Ed and over 10 years of teaching experience in special education and disability studies, I’ve seen how much of a difference personalized support can make. This inspired me to start tutoring, where I could focus on each student’s unique strengths and needs.

What I love most about teaching is seeing those moments when a student really connects with the material and finds their niche. It’s incredibly rewarding to help students reach their full potential, whether we’re tackling a tricky math problem or diving into a new book. I specialize in differentiated instruction, tailoring my approach to each student, and I’ve found that virtual teaching opens up even more opportunities for creative learning.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy cycling and hiking—getting out in nature helps me recharge and brings a fresh perspective to my work. One of my most memorable experiences was during COVID, when I had the chance to teach virtually. It was a challenging time for everyone, but it allowed me to make a meaningful impact on my students in a new way. Those experiences have stayed with me, reminding me of the importance of connection, no matter the distance.
